Previous page If you love your dog and treat them like family, then you’re dog people just like us. We established Snoozer in Greenville, SC in 1985 and today it is still family owned and operated, and the majority of our products are sewn and assembled by hand here in the USA. We consider how dogs behave; we watch how they age. And we manufacture stylish, long-lasting dog beds, car seats, carriers, and other pet products that both you and your pet will love. Shop Snoozer Favorites! What Makes a Snoozer Different? Quality and durability are sewn into every detail. You can see it in the made-to-order fabric. You can feel it in the superior cushioning. You can even smell it in the cedar shavings of our poly fill. Tell Me More! For us, details matter. Overlocked stitching hides durable zippers. That’s because our liners are made to be washer-friendly, just like our covers. How's Your Track Record? Snoozer was established in 1985 with the intention of manufacturing the finest dog beds, car seats, sofas, and travel accessories. These values remain instilled in the company today. Get Your Pet a Snoozer! How are you caring for my pet? At Snoozer, we have chosen not to treat our products’ structural foam with any chemicals. This is in consideration of any potentially negative effects such treatments may have on a pet. Because our foam is untreated, it will develop a honey golden hue over time. This color enrichment process is natural, and not indicative of prior use. How are you caring for the planet? In a conscious effort to reduce the use of non-essential plastics, we have also chosen to forego fully wrapping individual products in favor of using quality, recyclable cardboard packaging. Floki the corgi and I both love this car seat. I opted for a size medium, to take my corgi from puppy to full-grown sized (30-40lbs). I’m glad we went with the this size vs a smaller one; it provides a solid bed space with a little room for Floki to grow into his full size (another 10-15 lbs from pics).Pros: Sturdy, provides safety with seatbelt harness, perfect height for dog to see out window, my dog loves the Sherpa-like bedding and peacefully naps within, the sides and nooks of the seat provide various spaces for a dog to rest its head. Attractive. I purchased the shelf model, which is perfect for poop bags and travel bowls. Folks ask me where I got this carsear all the time.Cons: The seatbelt strap clasp is impossibly hard (for me) to open. No idea why it’s wired so tight; requires both of my hands (43f, 5’4”) to open & close. (Hope to change out the hardware to a simple leash clasp). Also the car seat is VERY large. I have a Subaru Forrester and the car seat takes us a full back seat and then some, making it hard to buck in a single space.Vendor feedback: Would love a different clasp (sturdy but easy to open), spare covers/linen inserts to help protect the fabric & make life easy with dog mess - from muddy walks to pee accidents. Thanks!Nice and roomy. My boys love being g able to see out the window. The seatbealt hookes easy to harnes, still allows them movement with safety. The drawer is a life saver. I am able to keep treats, toys and bags handy as well leashes. Will be purchasing a second one for my daughter. Excellent purchase for me.We purchased this for our Boston terrier for a 7 hour road-trip. Best purchase ever! It was comfortable and big enough to stretch out. It did run a little warm though. This is the third seat I’ve purchased. My first pup just passed and I use it for my new puppy. My 13 year old loves his chair! Still olives great and of course I’ve washed them… which holds its quality and plushness. chair height helps them see out the window or stick their heads out a bit too! Love the drawer in front for storage or toys, EMPTY poop bags or treats… great quality for small dogs under 15 lbs. This car seat allows my dog to look out the window while laying down. It is easy to install and is very safe if an accident is to occur. The outer shell is easy to take off and put on and cleaned up in the washing machine nicely. I let it air dry and it did not shrink. Great product.I had already ordered and returned others for not looking true to photo and or the piping being incredibly sloppy. Also, I looked through pet stores at colors. Time was ticking while doing this becuase my dog had grown so much the poor thing was taking long car rides with her rear end falling out of the one I had grabbed off craigslist when I first got her. She's pretty tall and long but loves these things so she'd rather lay in one too small than none at all. Herringbone is always the cheapest one. So I stayed away from it thinking it must really be bad becuase the others were more expensive and they were certainly disappointing and frustrating me. But doing the "which color/material to choose" had to end. I decided to just order the cheapest one and I'll replace it at a later date. The cheapest at the time ended up being Herringbone.I was shocked when it arrived. The material is more sturdy then the others I had. The piping actually had a shape and it keeps that shape. The Herringbone really should be the more expensive one. It looks great in any interior and unlike the other material her fur won't stick to it so much and it's been easier to clean. (she's a working dog, she gets pretty dirty) I've had the seat for months now, it's been in at least 3 different vehicles and many adventures, it looks great. I am so glad I gave up and just ordered this one. It ended up being worth way more than the others to me and the one I am the most happy with.On a side note if you don't already own a Snoozer booster I highly recommend it. Even if, like my dog, your dog is tall or long enough to stand or stretch to see out windows. It allows them to relax and still see, have a padded place to lay down, it really breaks down on your pet getting motion sick and it breaks down their anxiety. At least that's been my experience using them through 3 dogs. Also, PLEASE keep your pet safe and use the loop Snoozer gives you to attach to your CAR harness (not walking harness) to the seat belt. Stay away from boosters that have you attach your pet to the booster and not the car's seat belt.More info... since I've been through keeping 3 dogs safe this is what I know. A car safety harness is different than a regular harness. Do NOT attach the loop to your dog's collar or even a walking harness. The car harness at the very least should be padded in the front or cover a large area. It should not simply be belts like a regular harness. Bones will break in an impact. I actually do not use Snoozer's harness myself, I use another brand but it's always hooked up to the loop Snoozer provides and to then the seat belt. I unlatch her entire car harness when she gets out and simply latch it back on when she gets in becuase she is a working dog. It's super simple. One day she has a special walking harness, other days she's wearing her packs. As a person with a working dog I go through a lot of equipment. If I can take the extra few seconds to use a car harness, you certainly can.Using this booster or at the very least using a loop to the seat belt on your car's seat (which you can get at the pet store for a few bucks) is the best way to make sure your dog is not thrown out, against an object or person or is freely floating around a vehicle during an accident. I cringe when I see people with their pet on their laps or have them freely sitting in a booster. Or, sitting behind a cage in the very back of the car with out anything securing them to the vehicle. You are not doing your pet any favors. Accidents happen. Even small ones in an instance like that could kill your pet. Ejecting your dog out a window will not be pretty. Keep them safe and happy. They make you happy and in most instances, keep you safe too. Return the favor.I bought this for my 18 pound miniature poodle. Bought a medium to allow him plenty of room to be comfortable on a road trip. He loved it from the moment I unpacked it in the living room. I put in a towel or another piece of sheep skin because Chewie loves to dig a nest and I didn’t want to lose the nice liner. It is extremely easy to install and put in and take out of car. (Don’t forget to unclip the little tie-down strap that attaches to your seat belt when taking the seat out of vehicle - easy to leave behind otherwise). I bought this in 2017 and it still looks brand new so has worn well. The plastic shelf in the bottom gives it a rigid and sturdy floor and is very handy.Absolutely love this booster seat. It’s larger than I expected but it provides more than enough room for my Mini Aussie who’s 38kbs. He can sit and watch outside but can also lay down and snooze. It’s one of my best purchases and I’m so glad I found it here. The price is unmatched. I shoppped around for months before finding this one. Highly recommended. I also love the hidden drawer under the seat.Update: 3 months after using it, the base area split creating a dip in the seat where the dog would lay. I’m extremely disappointed that it didn’t last more than 3 months. We and our dog love this car seat. It's really just a big block of foam, covered in a polyester fabric, the inside is faux sherpa, and there is also a little plastic drawer in the front. The seat belt goes through a notch in the back of the seat. It's very basic, but serves the purpose well. It's great for little dogs because it raises them high so they can look outside. My dog loves it, she hops right in as the car door opens. The medium size is quite large - it takes up way more than one car seat. In my Corolla, as well as my parents CX7, you can barely squish two people in the back next to the car seat. If you plan to have two people, even kids, in the back with this seat, then get the small size. The picture for this product is misleading, it actually shows the small size. My dog is an 11-lb mini poodle mix, and she really only needs half the size of this Medium seat, so we'll be getting the Small for her as well, for roadtrips where she needs to share the backseat. There is also a tether that you can use to connect the seatbelt to the dog's harness. (Never connect to a neck collar, only a back-attach harness!) The tether doesn't in any way attach to the car seat, only to the diagonal part of the seatbelt. I didn't like the tether that came with the seat, so I bought a different one. The only negative is that the tether can slide along the seat belt and gives the dog a lot of range of motion. My dog can hop out of the seat even if she's tethered. It's not usually much of an issue, because she quickly realizes why her seat is better, and hops right back in. Overall, I would highly recommend this car seat. The Snoozer I is the same thing, just without the little drawer, so that's a great option at a lower price point. My dog loves it. We are still waiting for the car to be delivered. But seeing how much he loves it, once installed in the new car, it would have alreay been his and he is used to it. I also got him the Snoozer car seat harness. I ordered a seat belt extension as with this car seat it is way too short. Hopefully with the extension he will have a little wiggle space but snug at the same time. Most of all he will be protected and secured in case of an accident. The other model car seats (non luxury) do not come with a cushion. The ones that do not do feel too hard cause of the drawer. This one although higher offers better cushioning. I will review again when the seat is installed and used in the car. Right now it serves as a very comfy bed. My dog loves it. He is 35lbs and can sleep stretched in it.We purchased this for a 4500km drive with our dog, and it has proved to be an excellent purchase. We use it in a Ram 1500 pickup and it is high enough that the dog can see out of the truck without having to sit up - which for our dog helps reduce travel anxiety and allows him to sleep when we are moving along. It seems comfortable for the dog in the middle of winter, or the heat of the summer. It is easy to secure to the vehicle with the seat belt, and comes with a handy clip to simplify attaching to the dog's harness so that in the event of an emergency the dog is helped securely in place (but has the ability to move around on the Snoozer and get comfortable). We've been using this for over 6 months now on a daily basis and would highly recommend. We also picked one up at a great prices on Amazon!
