We have friends who have to medium sized schnauzers and travel with these booster seats. They often commented about how great they made travel for their pets and offered to let us borrow them on our next trip. They worked like a charm for our two 12 pound jack russell terriers. The seats lifted them up in the back seat of our truck so they could see out. After a few minutes of riding they settled down and slept for two hours. One of them threw up on the seat (car sick), however upon arrival to our destination I removed the cover, washed and air dryed. The cover went back on easily. Trip home was a breeze. We were sold on the booster seats and ordered two medium sized seats immediately. Delivery was promised between 6/23 and 6/30. It arrived on 6/16 as we were packing the truck for another trip. If there is a con, it would be that they are cumberson and could be a storage challenge for some. We saved the boxes and when not in use are stored in the basement. Love these seats. Size is perfect and dogs can stretch out. No more balancing our two dogs on my lap during travel. When we make brief pit stops, no more fear of them getting loose and running off as I exit or enter the vehicle and I am not scratched or paralyzed from not being able to move. Harness straps work great if attached to seat belt or you can add an extension and attach to head rest. (Just make sure they don't have too much slack)If I am being honest, I felt a bit ridiculous even *considering* buying this product at first. I felt like, if I bought it, I would be spending quite a bit of money for what essentially boiled down to a fancy pillow / booster seat for my dog. I mean, my dogs have it pretty good - but was I really ready to admit to myself that they are really *this* spoiled? However, I finally bought the bullet and bought this for two reasons.First, I have two dogs that both love riding in the car - but one is four times the size of the other (60lbs vs 15lbs). If I don't have them restrained / limited to their own little areas in the car, the big one (Ahu) constantly steps on, sits on, or otherwise smooshes the little one (Milo). When this happens, Milo freaks the heck out - but Ahu is deaf and generally pretty oblivious, so she doesn't typically seem to notice, and as a result, she does not necessarily stop standing on him / mashing his face into the door / whatever. As you can imagine, this creates a less-than-relaxing driving experience (for everyone except Ahu at least - she doesn't give a fig).Standard doggie seat belts and harnesses are not really sufficient for the issue described above, because I can never get them set up such that both dogs can:1) sit down, stand up, and lie down AND2) not get tangled up with each other. Each time I would think I finally had everything adjusted perfectly, I would get no more than 5 minutes into our drive before hearing some weird sound and seeing in my rear view mirror that somehow the little dog's seat belt was wrapped around the big dog's leg and the big dog was sitting on the little dog's tail. So, my solution to that has been to have the big dog (in her seat belt and harness) in the back seat and have the little dog in the front seat. One major downside of the big dog back seat and little dog front seat setup is that the front seat is really not as safe or secure for dogs (or anyone really) as the back seat is. Even with his doggie seat belt and harness, Milo still kinda flies around more than I really like when he sits in the front seat. This is especially the case because because he likes looking out the window, but due to his size he has to stand up on his hind legs in order to see out. While the seat belt keeps him from going through the windshield or falling out the window, he still loses his footing and swings around wildly if we so much as go over a speed bump. [Note: The reason Milo is in the front seat instead of Ahu being in the front seat is because my car is small and Ahu is too big to be able to lie down in the front seat during longer drives. If she tries to lie down, she tends to sit her butt directly on the gear shift, which makes it a bit difficult to drive my manual transmission car.]Another downside is that I have a great hammock-style seat protector to catch dog fur in the back seat, but I haven't found a similarly easy to put up and take down seat cover for the front seat, so I typically just throw down a towel or blanket to try and keep the front seat area from getting too furry. [Because I actually do need to drive humans around too! Despite how this review makes me sound, I am not just a dog chauffeur.]So, as you can see, I have really tried many different strategies over the years.Well, all I can say now is that I really should have gotten this Snoozer Lookout Car Seat a long-ass time ago. It keeps Milo safe, secure, and away from my gear shift while he is riding in the car. It also keeps the dog fur contained to a small area and is easy to set up and take out quickly. And, as I think you can tell from the pictures I posted with this review, Milo freaking loves it.TLDR / Moral of the story: Don't let your stupid pride get in the way of buying a product that will bring joy to your dogs and reduce your stress level while you drive them around. Learn from my mistakes and just buy Snoozer Lookout Car Seat already.Snoozer Lookout made our little traveller more comfortable and secure. This is a very nicely crafted product, but our Cavalier King Charles Spaniel did not want to ride in it. We were sorry to have to return it.My dog has never liked being in the car for much time, this seat has changed all that.Well Bugsy has worn out his first Snoozer it has lasted through two cars, and Audi S5 Convertible....it fit in the backseat great?Replaced the Audi with a Hyundai Santa Fe and it fit great as well, many long road trips and camping adventures. Now it is time to replace the old Snoozer it held up over 5 years. My only wish is if they made one that was cooler. Living in Florida the seat and foam tend to heat up. I added a cooling blanket and a fan. My 23 pound Boston Terrier loves this seat. We have never had a single issue with it, and be sure to anchor the teather to the top half of the seat belt, then clip the dog in using a harness, NOT a collar. and anchor the seat using the seat belt. It’s allowed our two small puppies to snuggle while on car rides. It’s also tall enough so they can watch the scenery.I have an Italian Greyhound who loves this bed. Before putting it in the car I left the bed in our family room with a blanket in it for a few days and he immediately started hopping in it. Once I strapped it in the car he immediately climbed in it and fell asleep. The only minor regret is the material I chose. The bed portion that my dog actually sleeps on is a fuzzy material and he sometimes chews/pulls at it. He hasn’t made a hole in it but I fear that may eventually happen in time. Overall I don’t know why it took 6 years for me to realize that my dog needed something like this and it makes traveling so much easier. My small dog took to this seat straight away .. no problem..she loves it ..lies, & is able to look out the front window, which is exactly what she wants..sturdily built..keeps its shape ..so far.. recommended!! I place a cover inside to keep it clean as the material, is lovely but not sure how it will stand up to constant washing..not done so so far..Very stable and secure, difficult to find one with this much room. Perfect for a miniature poodle, cockerspanual (Cokerpoo) mix. Can sit lay down and secure with a seatbelt attachment included and see out of the windows at the same time. Avoid 6 penalty points and get one.My little jack Russell fell in love with this straight away. Sturdy, a good height, looks comfy, just the right size (small) and I can wash the cover. My dog and I absolutely love this seat. It has opened up a whole new window level experience to him! It is so comfortable he often falls asleep. The product is very well made, easy to secure in the car and washable. Definitely recommend it.I am returning this Idem too bad it’s pretty cause the sides are not supported properly. When the dogs stands on the sides with his feet it bands down it’s a matter of months or weeks before it totally falls and break on the side. I wanted to fabricate a wooden support and cover it up with foam and than use the outside materials of this seat cause it’s really pretty but I mean I am paying 180$ And I don’t have the time to fabricate a wooden seat and it really should come with a good support at this price cause so returning this idem and I don’t recommend it until they use better support on the sides. The 3 stars are for the look and the comfort only
